Arabic Language Levels

Novice Level

Novice Level

At this level, the main focus is to develop learners' ability to comprehend and utilize basic phrases and expressions that are necessary for everyday communication. These include greetings, self-introduction, and simple questioning and answering. Through interactive activities, role-plays, and games, learners will develop their grammar and vocabulary skills. They will also have ample opportunities to practice their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

Upon completion of this level, learners will be able to effectively communicate in basic everyday situations, such as ordering food, shopping, and asking for directions. With a strong foundation in Arabic, they will be well-equipped to pursue further language study.

Pre-intermediate Level

Pre-intermediate Level

At this level, learners have a basic understanding of Arabic and can communicate in simple and routine tasks that require a basic exchange of information. The focus is to further develop learners' ability to comprehend sentences and frequently used expressions related to familiar topics. Through interactive activities, role-plays, and discussions, learners will continue to improve their vocabulary and grammar skills. They will also have ample opportunities to practice their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

Upon completion of this level, learners will be able to effectively communicate in a variety of everyday situations, such as discussing their hobbies, family, and work. They will also be able to express their opinions and ideas on familiar topics and understand the main points of simple news articles and TV programs. With an expanded knowledge of the language, learners will be better prepared to engage in more advanced Arabic language study.

Intermediate Level

Intermediate Level

At this level, learners are expected to attain a significant level of proficiency in Arabic, which will enable them to comprehend and communicate fluently and spontaneously on familiar topics. Through authentic input and various language activities, learners will continue to develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, along with their pronunciation, intonation, and accent. They will be able to engage in conversations with native speakers, express themselves effectively, and utilize complex sentence structures and idiomatic expressions.

Upon completing this level, learners will have the confidence and ability to communicate effectively in diverse social and professional settings.

Upper Intermediate Level

Upper Intermediate Level

At this level, learners attain advanced proficiency in Arabic, particularly in their area of interest. Learners are expected to enhance their ability to comprehend complex texts and technical discussions related to their field, as well as express their own opinions and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of various options. Through various writing activities, learners will learn to produce clear and detailed texts on a broad range of subjects. The focus of this level is on enhancing learners' ability to communicate effectively in professional contexts, such as presentations and debates.

Upon completion of the level, learners will possess the necessary language skills to succeed in their field and confidently and effectively communicate with others.

Advanced Level

Advanced Level

At this level, learners attain a high level of proficiency in Arabic, enabling them to understand and interpret demanding, longer texts and grasp implicit meaning. Through a variety of activities, learners enhance their speaking skills and learn to express themselves fluently and spontaneously without struggling to find the right words. They also learn to use the language flexibly and effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes. The focus of this level is on developing learners' critical thinking and communication skills, preparing them to engage in complex discussions and debates on various topics.

Upon completion of the level, learners will possess the language skills necessary to communicate effectively in a variety of contexts and succeed in their academic, social, and professional endeavors.

What is the difference between the program in Üsküdar and Başakşehir?

Academically: There is no difference between the program in Başakşehir and the one in Üsküdar. Both are under the same academic administration and follow the same standards.

The difference lies only in location and facilities.

In terms of location:

The Başakşehir program is on the European side, in the Başakşehir district, which is a modern area with a large Arab population, various markets, restaurants, and Arabic educational centers.

The Üsküdar program is on the Asian side, in the well-known Üsküdar district, which is a historic area with many tourist attractions, heritage sites, and old mosques.

In terms of facilities and buildings:

The Başakşehir program is held at the new Ibn Haldun University campus, which features modern buildings and advanced technological facilities.

The Üsküdar program takes place at the historic Ahmadiyya School, offering a traditional and historical atmosphere with classic-style classrooms.

Are refreshments provided during breaks?

No, we do not offer food during break times.

What is the cancellation policy?

You are eligible for a 50% refund if you cancel your registration before the program starts. Unfortunately, no refunds will be provided once the program has commenced.

Is there a minimum number of students required per class?

Yes, for Arabic language classes, a minimum of 6 students is required for the lesson to take place.
