In addition to interactive classroom teaching, our program offers a variety of task-based cultural and language activities designed to enhance students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Our program provides a range of activities such as mosque and scholar visits, Arabic nights, field trips, reading clubs, and literature sessions, all of which are customized according to the students’ proficiency levels. These activities are intended to challenge students appropriately while building upon their existing knowledge and skills. By engaging in these activities, students gain valuable cultural insights and language exposure that can help them become more confident and proficient in Arabic.

Note:

After the initial registration process, students will be required to take a placement test to determine their current level of proficiency. This test will be administered to ensure that students are placed in the appropriate class, allowing them to maximize their learning potential and achieve their language goals.

More About Our Program!

This program is offered to teach Arabic language for adults as part of an approved curriculum titled "Arabic for Life and Heritage". The program is taught with a maximum of ten students per class and is scheduled for five days a week from Monday to Friday, with a daily class duration of four hours except for Fridayswhen the duration is three hours. The program starts at 9:00 am and ends at 1:00 pm

Culture trips and activities

Our Program Includes:

1- Visits to distinctive places in Istanbul on Wednesdays after classes. Among the visits:

 1st Wednesday between 2 PM and 6 PM:

  • Fatih Mosque and the tombs of the sultans.
  • Sahn-ı Seman Medrese, a historical school.
  • The Holy Mantle and the Guards' Building.
  • Gülhane Medrese.

 2nd Wednesday  between 2 PM and 6 PM:

  • Süleymaniye Mosque and Yeni Mosque.
  • The room of the scholar of interpretation, Abu Saud.
  • Dar al-Hadith and Dar al-Qur'an.
  • The Egyptian Market.
  • A boat trip.

3rd Wednesday between 2 PM and 6 PM:

  • Hagia Sophia.
  • Sultan Ahmed Mosque.
  • Sultan Ahmed Medrese.

It should be noted that museums charge an entrance fee.

 2- Additional paid trips for those who are interested, including: 

During the week:

- Polonez Village: one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Istanbul, characterized by its stunning natural scenery, green gardens, and peaceful atmosphere that gives visitors a chance to relax and get away from the city's hustle and bustle. The village also includes a variety of recreational activities and integrated service facilities, making it a popular destination for tourists and locals.

- Horse Riding Club: a great opportunity for horse lovers to experience this activity.

At the end of the first week:

- We will provide you with a wonderful opportunity to visit the city of Bursa, which is rich in many tourist and entertainment places.

At the end of the second week:

- This day will be special, as the trip will target the Sapanca region, which is full of stunning natural landscapes, especially with the presence of Lake Sapanca, which is one of the most prominent tourist and archaeological sites in the area.

 3- The program offers some optional activities for those who want to explore the beauty of Istanbul further such as:

  • Field trips to some historical places in Uskudar.
  • Meetings with some scholars in the area.

 4- In addition to some extracurricular activities such as:

  • Sessions in Arabic calligraphy art.
  • Sessions in "Inshad".
  • Sessions in the art of painting on water "Ebru".

What about the accommodations?

Sadly, our program does not provide housing services.

Where is the location where the program will be held?

The Madrassa's location where our program will be held is on the campus of Sultan Mehmet Al Fatih University in Üsküdar area which is located on the Asian side of Istanbul, it is a very beautiful and historical area near the Bosphorus.
